Saad Rafik Hariri
Political achievements
Saad Hariri is the current President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Lebanon, he was sworn in December 2016.
He held the same position from November 2009 until June 2011.
He was elected in 2016 as Head of the Future Movement.
He is currently a Member of the Parliament after winning the parliamentary elections in 2009.
He was Member of Parliament and Head of the Future Movement Parliamentary bloc from 2005 till 2009.
Awards
In 2007, French President Jacques Chirac awarded Saad Hariri the “Légion d’honneur” (Knight of the Legion of Honor).
In 2014, Lebanese President Michel Sleiman awarded Saad Hariri the Grand Cordon of the Lebanese Order of Merit.
